Our last day

A final set from our successful trip to Madrid. I hope that everyone enjoyed it, and that you all slept well last night after a hectic few days!

A rainy Thursday

A Thursday full of art, history, rain, chocolate and enjoyment.

I hope you've enjoyed our adventures in Madrid and blogland, it feels like it's flown past. However, this afternoon we're heading back to England, hoping that Bristol airport lets us through! All being well we should be back to school by 10.30-11.00pm.

The Madrid trip gets more attention

Our adventures in blogland have recently come in for some national attention- demonstrating yet again how much of a leading role Edgehill College is taking in developing the use of technology in Modern language teaching.

Joe Dale is THE national figure for educational blogging- a Lead Practitioner for the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust and at the top of his profession- teaching French. To read his recent article about our trip, please click here.

We put this together on Tuesday evening, and thankfully we've finally been told how to navigate some of our issues and get it online!

Toledo. Sort of.

Toledo was a fascinating experience. In beauty, and in frustration.

But smiles were had by the end of the day, and we all learnt that

just because things say they're open or free on websites,

IT DOESN'T MEAN THAT THEY ARE!! An important lesson to learn.

Flamenco unleashed on the world!!

Ok, change of plan on this one. I've been working on using something new tonight, a wee treat for you all to see those Latin hips of Alfonso showing the ladies how to dance some Flamenco. It sort of works, but due to marvellous technical difficulties, it's going to have to be a click away. So, please click here to see laughs had by one and all!

PLease watch this space for upcoming details of tonight's Flamenco session... I was exhausted to say the least, and all the dancers were fantastic- I was very impressed indeed. So watch out to find out who had the courage to get up and dance- some surprises are in store!!

Hi there one and all back in England (and al over the place!)

Just a first, preliminary blog post to let you all know that we´ve arrived. Reasonably uneventful journey, but that´ll be explained far more in proper blog detail tomorrow, by people far more qualified than myself to explain it- those brave pupils who´ve come to Madrid!
